This work is not just art.

It is how I manage myself.
How I return to centre.
How I make sense of a mind that feels deeply, notices everything, and sometimes needs a place to land.

At the heart of Held By The Wild is my fine art collection. Original paintings and museum-quality fine art prints created from moments of stillness, curiosity and a deep love of the natural world. Every piece is an invitation to slow down, breathe a little deeper and find beauty in the ordinary.

Nature has always been my language. I spend countless hours walking, foraging and noticing the tiny details many people pass by. Colour, texture, weathered timber, wildflowers, shells, paper, rust and quiet places all find their way into my work. Even my paintings often hold a tiny hidden doorway or window, a gentle reminder that there is always another perspective, another path, another possibility waiting to be discovered.

This is the physical expression of Mantra & Moss.
Where Mantra & Moss holds the philosophy, these works hold the practice. They are my way of regulating, of creating steadiness, of honouring the rhythms of a nervous system that doesn't always move at the pace of modern life.

I am a nurse, a mother, an artist and a woman who has learned to listen to my inner signals.
To rest when needed.
To create when words are not enough.
To trust that sensitivity is not a flaw, but a form of awareness.

My world is imperfect and beautifully real.
Some days are messy.
Some days are tender.
But in the making of these pieces, I find grounding. I find clarity. I find myself again.

About creating something with your hands when life feels uncertain.

While my fine art is the focus today, Held By The Wild will continue to grow. In the coming months you'll find nature-inspired workshops, foraged creations, botanical collections and thoughtfully designed pieces for the home. Everything I create is inspired by the belief that nature has an extraordinary ability to calm the nervous system, spark creativity and help us feel more connected to ourselves and the world around us.
